The “Total Business Plants” project was recently launched in Volos!

Funded under the European framework of Erasmus+ the project titled: “Innovative Integrated Training in Healing Plants” [Total Business Plants] was officially started in the premises of University of Thessaly in Volos on 16th of November.

The “Total Business Plants” project is applied in the Key Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation & the Exchange of Good Practices of the European framework of Erasmus+. The project attempts to provide an integrated approach towards the familiarization of various target groups (farmers, habitants of rural areas, farmers associations, small local enterprises, etc.) with the management and cultivation of aromatic & therapeutic plants through an innovative training programme based on modern technologies.

University of Thessaly as coordinator partner launched the project with the organization of the Kick off Meeting and the participation of all the partners of the consortium. Particularly in the meeting participated Biognosis (Greece), Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria), FyG Consultores (Spain) and Danmar Computers (Poland).

The project is considered very innovative due to the proposed development of a transnational strategic VET partnership in the relative new field of medicinal plants and is planned to last two years providing significant added valued in this particular economic sector.
