On 23rd and 24th of November, in beautiful Spanish city of Valladolid, the consortium of CRAFTS 3.0 met for the first time to officially start the project. The project will prepare handicraft teachers and trainers in EU to adapt their teaching practice to the next generation of high tech digital tools and cutting edge machinery, like 3D printers or laser cutting. Due to the planned set up of a modern FabLab in Valladolid, it will also address real need on a regional scale.
Partners were hosted by FOACAL (The Federation of Artisan Organizations of Castilla y León) at their premises. The meeting started with the brief presentation of the project and the coordinating organisation. Then, representatives of each of the partner, introduced their organisations’ profiles, and their roles in the project. After that, CRAFTS 3.0 was presented in more details by INFODEF – partner organisation from Valladolid. Last point on the agenda that day was the presentation of the first intellectual output – European ECVET Curriculum on ICT-based teaching –learning methods in VET for crafts sector. The presentation was followed by a lively discussion, which resulted in setting up the plan for the realization of this output.
Next day of the meeting was mainly devoted to administrative and financial issues, as well as to presentation and discussion on Dissemination and Quality Plans. Partners have decided to use Admin Project – one of a kind management system supporting implementation of Erasmus+ projects. Interesting element of the meeting was also a guided tour on FOACAL premises, with many different workshops running and real life examples of handicrafts. Next meeting will be organized by Renova in London (UK) in May 2018.
