Project description
The main objective of the project was to implement a B2B system that electronically connects the company Danmar Computers – the applicant and the companies cooperating. The aim of the project was to implement a new IT system based on SharePoint Server and integrated with the SQL Server and Exchange Server. Integrated server platform created allowing for the automatic exchange of information and coordination of activities among the partners.
Cooperation based on virtual enterprise model in which telecommunication systems used functions allowing the exchange of information / data and preparation / presentation of proposals and preparation of investment proposals for clients. The fact of being in different physical locations of the partners had no practical significance because of the dedicated Extranet network allows the use of electronic services. Such virtual enterprise, despite the geographical dispersion, was perceived by the customer as a single economic entity. Electronic, automated data exchange between partners was carried out using the bi-directional transfer of data between the parties to the transaction (EDI – Electronic Data Interchange). The system made possible easier workflow, management and resource reservation between the cooperating companies, and has provided improved work partners personalized website.
