The main aim of INCAS is to enhance the quality of mobility learning opportunities for disadvantaged young adults through improved preparation, execution and evaluation/validation of international mobility experiences. The target group for the INCAS project are young adults aged 18-30 years who are socially, economically and educationally disadvantaged and who face multiple barriers to social and economic inclusion. To re- engage in education and training is a challenge for this target group and to engage in international mobility an even greater challenge, evidenced in the low participation rate in international mobility of disadvantaged young people. INCAS aims to provide services and tools that are tailored to the specific needs of these disadvantaged young adults and by doing so aims to improve the quality of the (mobile) learning opportunity.

INCAS targets the triangle of actors in second chance work placements i.e. learners, teachers/trainers, and employers & provides resources & tools that make high quality international work placements possible. The aim is to select best practices from a variety of national resources and actions, to improve them with further input from employers, and to make these resources available to disadvantaged young adults in a more engaging and practical manner, via a mobile phone app and online e-portfolio , a quality monitoring system, and a database of European placement providers.
