Project description

The DEPART (Digital Education for Parents at Risk of Technology Exclusion) project supports parents with low or medium levels of education in developing digital skills and preventing technological exclusion. The project will create the DEPART Learning Kit, helping parents improve competencies in information and data literacy, digital safety, communication, and online collaboration. It also strengthens digital parenting skills, enabling parents to guide their children in using the internet safely and responsibly.

Project activities include developing a guide, six educational videos, and an e-learning platform, as well as organizing workshops for parents and educators, transnational learning activities, and awareness campaigns. The project will produce practical tools for parents’ digital education, create a European DEPART network, and raise digital awareness among at least 1,500 parents.

Project results

  • R1: DEPART Learning Kit – A comprehensive set of educational resources supporting parents’ digital inclusion, including a guide on intergenerational digital education and digital parenting, an e-learning platform, six educational videos, and workshop models.
  • R2: Training and Testing Workshops – A series of workshops for parents and educators designed to develop digital and digital parenting skills and to test and improve the DEPART Learning Kit.
  • R3: European DEPART Network and Awareness Activities – Creation of a European network of organizations and educators promoting digital education for parents, along with awareness campaigns reaching at least 1,500 parents and encouraging their involvement in their children’s digital education.
