SkillWIZ – SkillWIZ: VET Foresight Academy
Project number: 2025-1-PL01-KA220-VET-000363129
Implementation period: 01.11.2025 – 31.10.2027
Field: Vocational Education and Training

Project description

SkillWIZ is an Erasmus+ project that strengthens the Vocational Education and Training sector by equipping educators and trainers with practical foresight skills. As labour markets change quickly due to digital transformation, green transition and social developments, VET needs tools that help anticipate future skill needs instead of reacting to them. SkillWIZ supports this shift by enabling VET professionals to design training that is future oriented, inclusive and aligned with real economic needs.

The project will create the VET Foresight Academy, an interactive digital platform that offers training and practical resources to help educators apply foresight methods such as trend analysis and scenario planning in their teaching and organisational planning. SkillWIZ will also organise co development workshops, a train the trainer programme and testing activities to ensure that the approach can be used effectively in different VET settings.

A strong focus is placed on inclusion, ensuring that foresight based approaches also support learners from marginalised groups and reduce the risk of skill mismatches that can lead to exclusion.

Project results:

SkillWIZ will deliver a complete set of resources that help VET educators use foresight in a practical and accessible way. The project will create an online VET Foresight Academy that offers training, tools and guidance for future oriented teaching. It will also provide a competency framework that defines the foresight skills educators need, a training toolkit with ready to use methods and exercises, a playbook that explains how VET organisations can apply foresight in their planning, and workshop templates that support co creation with learners, employers and community actors. These resources will be tested in real VET environments to ensure they are useful, easy to apply and suitable for diverse training contexts.
