You’ReIn – Youths Revitalizing Internal Areas through their own Natural Resources

You’ReIn – Youths Revitalizing Internal Areas through their own Natural Resources
Project number: TBC
Implementation period: 01.10.2025 – 30.09.2028

Project description

The You’ReIn project was designed as a response to the persistent challenges faced by rural and semi-rural areas across Europe, including youth outmigration, high NEET rates, limited employment opportunities, water scarcity, and inefficient use of natural resources. At the same time, these territories possess strong potential for sustainable development based on local resources, innovation, and community engagement.

You’ReIn aims to empower young people aged 18–30, especially NEETs and disadvantaged youth, by equipping them with practical skills in sustainable water management, renewable energy, and environmental economics. By combining experiential learning, digital innovation, and youth participation, the project supports young people in improving their employability, strengthening their role in local communities, and contributing to green transitions at local and regional level.

The project also focuses on strengthening the capacity of youth workers and educators to deliver inclusive, future-oriented training using innovative and immersive learning tools.

You’ReIn target groups:

  • Young people aged 18–30, including NEETs, unemployed and disadvantaged youth from rural and semi-rural areas, interested in green and sustainable career paths
  • Youth workers and educators working in youth centres, NGOs and non-formal education, particularly those involved in sustainability and community development
  • Stakeholders, such as municipalities, local authorities, educational institutions, youth-oriented businesses and civil society organisations active in sustainability and inclusion
  • Local communities in rural and semi-rural areas benefiting from youth-led sustainability actions

Project results

  • an interactive and immersive youth training programme focused on sustainability, natural resource management, and green skills
