Kick-off meeting in Turkey

On 22nd and 23rd of February, 2016 in Turkey, the first meeting within the project NEO-COL – Navigational Equipment Oriented COLregs Training, was held. The meeting was hosted by the Turk Loydu, which is also the project coordinator.

The NEO-COL project will close this skills gap between the world of work and the world of education, by identifying the differences between theory and real application as well as developing the best and most realistic means of incorporating modern electronic navigation devices into the teaching of Collision Regulations.

Partners’ representatives from Romania, Poland, Spain, Germany and Turkey, participated in the meeting. During two days of intense work, the participants presented their organisations, learned on the project’s idea, and discussed project management plan, dissemination plan, evaluation and quality assurance strategies.

The partners distributed tasks and were trained in the use of Admin Project as the basic tool for project management. The date for the next meeting, which will take place in Spain, was set.
