The project aims to study and understand the impact of information overload and the proliferation of false information in the era of social hyper-connectedness. We will focus on the associated psychological risks that can lead to dangerous reactions, such as resistance to facts, truth bias, misconfirmation, identity threat, the negated information effect, and the illusion of truth.<\/span><\/p>\n

The goal of the project will be to develop strategies and tools to educate the public on how to recognize false information and increase psychological resistance to information manipulation. Through educational campaigns, seminars and the creation of information verification tools, the project aims to minimize the impact of disinformation on citizens’ lives. In addition, we plan to explore regulatory options in the context of controlling the anonymous creation of information and the use of new technologies in the spread of disinformation.<\/p>\n
