Many primary and secondary school students face language barriers and a lack of intercultural understanding of other countries as the traditional language teaching methods often fail to engage them. In addition, many European schools and educational institutions have limited resources, including a lack of opportunities to access innovative technologies, which can hinder quality language teaching.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The recent research has shown that mobile games may be an effective tool for language learning, providing an immersive and engaging environment that increases motivation and retention of language skills. The Lingua Trek project aims at improving the quality of English language teaching in Europe by encouraging its use in authentic contexts.
