eduDrone: Drone technology training to boost EU entrepreneurship and Industry 4.0

Project description

Industry 4.0 has a potential to revolutionize EU economy by stimulating its growth and boosting competitive strength. One of the elements of this concept is the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), popularly known as drones.

The main objectives of the project are:
To support the implementation of Industry 4.0 in European Union through development of technological entrepreneurship, by strengthening the key competences related to Drone Technology, in Vocational Education and Training (VET).
To help individuals to acquire and develop high quality skills and key competences, including entrepreneurial and digital skills, that allow them to take advantage of the huge Industry 4.0 opportunities by starting up their own business.
To promote social inclusion and gender-balance by enhancing the access, participation and learning performance of disadvantaged learners and women.

In order to achieve these objectives, the partners will produce the following outputs:
Guidelines on the use of Drones in VET; Guidelines on Industry 4.0 and Drone Entrepreneurship for VET students; Drone Technology Curricula; Drone Technology courseware; Drone Technology trainer guidelines; E-learning platform.
They will be available in 5 languages (EN, RO, PL, GR, IT), free and open to all.

The project address the following target groups:

  • VET teachers, trainers and mentors and VET providing organizations
  • VET students/learners, including people with fewer opportunities
